Based on a Flemish fairytale first recorded by Edmund Dulac in 1916. Out of spite, a mother repeatedly tries to kill her beautiful daughter, although her attempts are always secretly foiled by her beloved ugly daughter.

After bringing to life his 19-foot tall robot invention (Bot), evil scientist Dr. Leonardo Van Uitvinding prepares to take over the world. He soon struggles with his very own creation when he realizes that his robot wasn’t born evil.

Founded in 2009, Lucky Dog Animal Rescue is a Washington, DC based non-profit working to find homes for shelter dogs. Many of the dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in rural North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and Maryland. Lucky Dog tells the story of the all-volunteer organization that has saved more than two thousands dogs.
